Saving Energy Persuasive

It is good to save energy?

What is climate change? Are we doing the damage?

Energy can do amazing things, but we have to make sure we DO NOT cause global warming.

I believe and truly know that you should save energy by turning off all appliances at the wall to reduce at a estimation of at least 7.5% of your money. Are you aware that if you save energy by turning off all the tvs in your home.  It won’t cost you much to pay your bills, and you might get to go to your favourite place in the world.

Energy is really great but everyday there’s too much Co2 getting realised and put into the air, which could cause climate change. For example:

e.g In South Antarctica their snow and ice will all melt down, but that usually doesn’t happen. Using usual transport, like cars, trucks, vans and many more can be STOPPED because it puts out to many Co2 into the air, which could cause global warming. You could STOP it by using public transport like buses or catch a ride with your family or friends.

By 2015 ICE HOTEL will be using more energy and electricity more than they used to. This means they are Co2 negative.

Now you see why energy is a good and amazing thing, but we have to make sure we DO NOT cause global warming or Climate Change.

So I recommend that you try your best to save energy and it could change your life, like it has changed mine.

Narrative Story T4W1

You’re probably wondering why I’m climbing a ladder with a breath case in one hand.

It’s because I’m going to walk on a tight rope that goes from here all the way to sky-city, even to the top of the sky-tower. Sometimes people have to make risks for themselves and I’m one of them. Right now I’m just a normal New-Zealand citizen, with no job and I live in the streets, because guess what. . .

“I’m a homo."

Once I do this trick I’ll be remembered for ever. “I’ll be in the NZ history.”

But if I die, I just die.

In my life I’ve been suffering because of NO foods and absolutely NO water.

I’ve been eating out of the garbage bin. So. . .

“Curse Sam.”

I am ready to face my fear from dieing and plus I hope I get to be famous at the end of this day.

As I made my way onto the rope I carefully balanced and concentrated and slowly moved like a turtle. The turtle did tiptoe on a 2,000 metre rope and walked over Sams house and over others too.

I finally got through and I was almost there I couldn't wait to get there as people were cheering for me.

I was at least three or more metres away, I rapidly change my speed and went faster.

I finally made it.

Richmond & Wiremu's Narrative Story

One hot sizzling Summers day, there lived a young lad named Shaun Johnson. This mature man is a sporty, kind and swift person. Every morning he would start with a slow pace and develop going faster in his jog.
He would usually pass a small Pohutukawa tree just grown last year by a six year old boy, named Jacob . Right next to a famous Kauri tree there he lived inside a paru Camper Van.

Suddenly. . .

There arrived a vicious man that was anxious to cut that small boys tree down.
He was wearing a black and white singlet, with some broken old paru flip-flops. He was holding a large chain saw very aggressively, he got ready to yank the chain to start the engine.

Ten seconds later. . .

I flew down and stung the man who was trying to cut the tree down.
“Yee-how my bum’s been stung.”
What a relief. I felt like a hero. I wondered if I could do that for every person  even though I was  still in pain.

The Amazing Artistic Nigel Brown

Did you know, in Nigel Browns childhood he spent a lot of time in a packing shed? This is because he grew up in a farm in Invercargall.
And he is now a famous New Zealand artist.

Have you heard that he has graduated the University of Auckland at Elam school of fine arts?
Earlier in his life he was inspired with expressionism(emotional inspired)from Gareth Tapper and he was influenced from a very famous artist Colin McCahon which he studied for three years.

In some of his art he uses really good signs and symbols,for example putting a circle on top of a square and making a snow man or toaster.He also uses shapes,numbers and letters.

One of Nigel Browns artworks is named N-Brown. It is a portrait of someone sitting inside a kitchen.

Are you aware that he has been influenced by Phillip Clairmont in doing wood cutting?
He has exhibited and extended(Getting involved in what he does like attending things more) in public and private galleries around New Zealand.

Buddy Work for 2012

Me and my partner Nemani wrote a story for buddy writing.He said it was fun reading the story to me so I could listen, to it while I typed it out. He also said that I can type fast.I think he could type faster when he gets older.

My Beautiful Place

Far beyond the edge of the world is my beautiful place. In my beautiful place there are lots of clouds. It is a party on a Halloween night, but just not an ordinary night... a night with a sun. This beautiful place is somewhere just where the clouds are. There are also fireworks and last, there is a warm fire. This beautiful place feels very hot. I shell let you guess what my beautiful place is right after you read this.

In my beautiful place I can see...candy falling down as if it was going to rain in this beautiful place. I can see heaps of flames coming out of a rocket booster,but this rocket booster is coming from a robot with an axe. I can see a chorister conducting a lullaby.This chorister waves his hands as slow as a turtle. I can also see fireworks. I can see some chocolate on the biggest table in the world. And on the table it has. . .Butter-chicken, Ice cream, Ice blocks, Chocolate, Donuts which are chocolate flavour, cookies and pizza.

In my beautiful place I can taste...I can taste candy-floss that feels as soft as a cloud. I can also taste ice blocks as could as a refrigerator. I can also taste sandwiches. I can taste chocolate donuts. I can also taste Butter chicken.I can also taste junk food like Pizza, Ice cream, Butter chicken, Chocolate and a hot chocolate.

In my beautiful place I can hear...A lullaby being singed by a group of heaven. This lullaby controls everything. That's because it controlled the the rocket booster of a robot. That is why I can hear the rocket boosters so loud it blows my ears out! I can also hear an axe chopping a nice warm pumpkin ready to eat. The controller was a human and it was a robot.

In my beautiful place I can fell...I can feel the warmth of a fire. I can also feel the soft candy floss which is the clouds. I can feel the fresh air. I can also feel the breeze of the wind. I can feel soft clouds under my body that you can eat. I can even feel the warmth of the sun which makes it so hot every person feels like they are in a desert.

Did you know that the shamrock is one of the most internationally recognised symbols of Ireland? It is said that this four leaf clover brings good luck to whoever finds it.

Did you know that people in Ireland eat Soda-Bread. They eat that for their dinner.
People eat black pudding in Ireland for their dessert. The drink that is often had includes box tea.

James Nesbitt is famous for his acting as a in Ireland. Did you know that Joyce Cary is a writer from Ireland and writes books for adults. Liam Neeson is an actor and is famous for his movies that he has been acting in.

I have discovered that children in Ireland like to bike as a fun activity. They even like to go out fishing for contests and lastly, people dress-up as leprechauns to show that they are from Ireland.

Are you aware that the cliffs Moher in Co Clare over look the Atlantic Ocean and are Europe's highest Cliffs?

Buddy Writting-Welcoming Tonga R.W.C

When I opened the car door,I couldn't open it because their was a stampede of  people singing in harmony.  I could hear singing  in unison in the air,with all of the other people cheering with support.
“Wow,” I thought to myself saying, “is this a Festival?” I could see Tongan flags waving in hands of fans.Others were embracing and hugging a news reporter. There were cars decorated with red and white flags around it.
While we were at the airport the chanting was even louder than the airplane engines.

After all that waiting finally the Tongan team arrived on stage.All their fans welcomed them to NZ(New Zealand) with support.  The Tongan Captain asked his team mates if they could do the Tongan haka and they agreed to do a haka in front of all the people.

After an exhausting day we all drove down the street cheering and departed to our homes. What a beautiful and fantastic day this was.

What Makes A Good Speech

First T3 Post

I’ve been on holiday, I had a cool holiday and I even went to rock climbing. I wasn’t posting new posts because it was the school holidays.
The thing that I am most looking forward to at school is waiting for when I can take my net book home.
Something that am looking forward to is the Rugby World Cup.
Isn’t that cool it’s even in our Country.

My Learning Goals for Term Two

My learning goal for Reading this term is:
To use chunk, check, cheer to work out words I don't know when I am reading by myself on my net book to and to continue reading every night.

To achieve this goal, I will need: 

To always remind myself to chunk,check and cheer to self-correct my mistakes and find my own way out of my reading challenges.

My whanau can help me achieve this by:

To learn how to slope, how to write like an adult.

facts to solve maths problems.
